Map Not Working, or Shows the Wrong Location
Boating Suite requires your device's location services to be enabled in order for the map to work correctly. You should be prompted to enable location services for Boating Suite upon first launching the app. Your options are; Alway, While Using the App, or Never. We recommend choosing While Using the App in order to conserve your battery.
Follow these steps to manually enable location services for Boating Suite:
- Open Settings on your device (device settings, not the Boating Suite settings)
- Select Privacy, then select Location Services
- Ensure Location Services is enabled/turned on
- Scroll through the list of apps and locate, then select Boating Suite
- Select While Using the App
- Exit Settings
NOTE: We DO NOT track you or store your location (we, meaning, Boating Suite the company). Location services is only needed for; a) the app to show your location, b) record and save tracks in the Log Book, and c) set your GPS location in the various modules.
