Transferring Data to a New Device - IMPORTANT

If you are switching to a new iPhone or iPad, you must do one of the following to ensure your data is not permanently lost.

First and foremost, MANUALLY BACK UP YOUR DATA from the Boating Suite app following the instructions found here.

Options for transferring data if you purchase a new iPhone or iPad.

  1. Backup your entire phone to your computer or iCloud and restore your entire phone following Apple's instructions.
  2. Manually back up and restore your data from within the Boating Suite app

As a secondary precaution, prior to wiping your old phone, we recommend exporting your data to .csv files from each module in Boating Suite to ensure you have digital records of your logs. Doing this will ensure that your data is not completely lost in the unlikely event that something goes wrong.
